Worship and ministry that is rooted in God’s Word requires staff and leadership that is committed to leading, teaching, and worshipping from a place of humility. Submission to God’s Word that leads to winsome ministry in all things is a commitment of our leadership.

We believe that Jesus is the true Head of the Church. As Head, He directs through His Word (the Bible) how churches ought to be organized and governed. Our elders are men who meet qualifications given in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1. Once nominated by the congregation, they are trained, examined, and upon satisfactory completion are presented to the congregation for election.

This is why I left you in Crete, so that you might put what remained into order, and appoint elders in every town as I directed you
—Titus 1:5

So I exhort the elders among you, as a fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, as well as a partaker in the glory that is going to be revealed: shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight, not under compulsion, but willingly, as God would have you; not for shameful gain, but eagerly; not domineering over those in your charge, but being examples to the flock. And when the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory

— 1 Peter 5:1-4

The leadership of the church is a reflection of Christ's love and care for His people. In the PCA, we recognize the importance of having dedicated individuals who are called to serve and guide the church body. These roles are essential for fostering a community that glorifies God and serves one another faithfully.

Elders are spiritual leaders responsible for teaching, shepherding, and overseeing the congregation. They provide spiritual guidance, ensure sound doctrine is taught, pray for the church, and govern the church's affairs. Elders serve on the Session, the governing body of the local church, which makes decisions about the church's direction and discipline.

Deacons are servants of the church who focus on practical needs and mercy ministry. They manage the church's resources, care for the physical needs of the congregation and community, and ensure facilities and finances are well-maintained.
